Achillea Seeds ‘Cassis’

Unwins Nature’s Haven Achillea Cassis Seeds produce long-lasting summer flowers, with distinctive, richly-coloured flat flower heads that are great for cutting. Commonly known as yarrow, this hardy perennial is great for pollinators with masses of richly-coloured flowers lasting many weeks.

Brilliant for pollinators, these stunning red flowers will attract plenty of beneficial insects to your garden.

Sowing Indoors
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered compost, but don’t cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.

Growing On
When large enough to handle, pot on into 8cm pots and grow on at a minimum temperature of 10°C.

Planting Out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed. Allow 40cm between plants.

Aftercare
Cut back in autumn after the plant dies back. Divide clumps every 3-4 years. Flowers can be cut for use fresh or dried.
