Being purple Aubergine Moneymaker is naturally high in antioxidants which is great news for those wanting to boost their immune system for wellbeing in the long term. We recommend you grow Moneymaker with tomatoes and basil. All these foods are proven to be super healthy and the Mediterranean diet is lauded as one of the healthiest in the world.
Aubergine Moneymaker is well suited to greenhouse growing but will fruit when grown in large pots on a warm and sunny patio. With outstanding fruit quality, Moneymaker is a prolific cropper.
Your aubergine plants need to be kept well watered and should be fed regularly with a nutritious tomato plant food, high in potash once the individual fruits start to swell.

Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a 13cm pot, ready to plant out once all risk of frost is past.
Can’t plant straight away?
Place in a sheltered frost-free environment and water regularly to keep the compost moist
Once the frosts are over, harden the plants off for at least a week before planting out by placing them outdoors during the day and bringing them back indoors at night.
Planting tips and hints:
Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If your soil is heavy mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Place the plant in the hole so that it sits at the same level in the ground as it did in the pot. Firm the soil around the plant and water thoroughly. When planting in a container, use a good quality multipurpose compost.
Feeding and aftercare:
Water regularly. Once the flowers appear, feed fortnightly with a high-potash liquid feed such as tomato feed. Pick the fruits regularly to encourage the plant to keep producing more.
