Grow Brussels sprout Clodius for dependable solid, round sprouts ready in time for the Christmas period and continuing for the remainder of winter when other green vegetables are scarce.

These sprouts have an excellent flavour and are produced on structural plants that stand up well through the winter months. Clodius gives you sprouts with superb flavour in the kitchen. They’re also an excellent source of vitamin C, folic acid and are high in antioxidants- all combining to give you top health and great well-being.

To encourage tightly-packed sprouts that are easy to pick we recommend you position your young plants in firm, fertile soil in May. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or compost as early as possible to give the soil the maximum time to settle.

How you will receive your plants:

Plants have been grown in a 9cm growers pot and are ready to be planted direct into the ground, no need to pot on. 

Can’t plant straight away?

If you cant plant out straight away, remove the pots from their packaging and give them a good water. Place somewhere cool and shaded in the garden, ensuring the compost remains moist at all times.

Planting tips and hints:

Planting in the ground:  Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant, if your soil is heavy mix in general-purpose compost, horticultural sand and stone or potting grit to ensure good drainage. Gently compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
