Raspberry Cascade Delight (x5)
An early floricane with long fruitbearing laterals, vigorous growth and a good reliable crop of large, conical fruit with sweet red flesh, means this is a good garden variety.
Cropping from end of June for a month. It has excellent resistance to root rot, and performs well on wetter soil. Harvest end of June-July.
Floricane (summer-fruiting) varieties fruit on canes produced in the previous year. After fruiting, cut out the old, fruited wood in autumn/winter and tie in the new growths to the support.
Cut down all bare root planted raspberries to 2cm (1in) above ground level when planting. This will encourage multiple canes to grow from the ground.
